Why Merit Exist
Merit began with a simple observation: in many industries, a small number of incidents account for a disproportionate share of losses — yet businesses often lack shared visibility into relevant risk information.
In equipment rental, a single transaction can carry meaningful financial exposure. When issues occur, the impact can be significant, but there has never been a shared, rental-specific incident data layer to provide broader context.
